Poor People Do Not Deserve Healthcare

Mo Brooks, a republican congressman, proposed Trump Care and stated “It will allow insurance companies to require people who have higher healthcare costs to contribute more to the insurance pool that helps offset all these costs, thereby reducing the cost to those people who lead good lives, they’re healthy, they’ve done the things to keep their bodies healthy. And right now, those are the people who have done things the right way that are seeing their costs skyrocketing.” Brooks is proposing that because of their lifestyles the poor need healthcare more and therefore should pay more for their healthcare.
Congressman Brooks probably does not understand that poverty is not a choice that people have chosen. Some people work more than three jobs and still can not make ends meet. If a person is in poverty it will obviously be harder for them to remain healthy due to the fact that a salad is $5 and a cheese burger is only $1. It is unfortunate that the U.S. Has congressmen who can not understand how those in poverty are kept in poverty and that moving up from lower class middle class is not as easy as they think.
I belive that everyone should have a right to healthcare. No one deserves to go sick and untreated because they're not healthy. The purpose of healthcare is to help those that are unhealthy. There are other countries around the world that provide free health care. This is not an impossible goal to achieve
